VedHoop began with a simple thought: what if the fragrance we live with every day could carry a little more meaning? This is the story of how a memory became a modern Indian ritual brand, rooted in Bihar and Jharkhand.
The Memory
An evening ritual, remembered
VedHoop began with a memory — the fragrance of dhoop drifting through a home in Bihar in the evening. It was a small part of everyday life, but it marked something meaningful: the day slowing down, a prayer, a pause, a familiar feeling of home. That memory stayed with us, and years later it became a question — could fragrance become more than something we simply burn? Could it become part of the ritual itself?
The Question
Looking for a different way
We began exploring incense not simply as fragrance, but as part of an everyday ritual — looking closely at what makes a dhoop feel right: its fragrance, its materials, the way it burns, and the feeling it creates when you light it. That exploration became the beginning of VedHoop.
The Land
It began with the land
Our journey brought us back to Bihar and Jharkhand, and one tree kept returning to the story: Palash. With its brilliant orange-red flowers, Palash transforms the landscape like a flame, and its traditional connection with sacred fire gave us another thread — between nature, ritual and transformation. For VedHoop, Palash became more than an inspiration for a fragrance. It became a symbol of where we come from.

We began asking a different question: what if every meaningful fragrance had a story behind it? A place could inspire a fragrance. A traditional story could give it a name. A natural material could shape its character. A ritual could give it purpose. This became the foundation of VedHoop — place, to story, to fragrance, to ritual.

We're shaping a signature collection that draws on India's rich cultural landscape — from the legendary story of Mandar and Amritmanthan to the heritage of learning at Vikramshila, from the sacred journey along the Ganga to the traditions of devotion and offering. Each story becomes a starting point for a fragrance, and each fragrance becomes part of a ritual.
The Craft
Made with intention
We believe a ritual product should feel considered from the moment you open the box to the moment the fragrance fades — so we focus on fragrance, burn performance, consistency and the overall ritual experience. Our dhoop is made without a bamboo core, with charcoal-free formulations used where applicable, and we're continuing to develop our own signature fragrances carefully, one product at a time.
Today
Where we are today
VedHoop is starting with dhoop, sambrani and ritual fragrances, building from familiar everyday scents toward signature creations inspired by the stories, traditions and natural heritage of India. We don't want to add just another fragrance to a shelf — we want products with a story, fragrances with a connection, and rituals worth returning to. This is only the beginning.
